Monroe Police

On April 12:

● At approximately 12:03 a.m.  Officers were dispatched to a physical altercation in the 800 block of l0th Street. Investigation resulted in Nicole M. Rackow, 38, Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct under Wisconsin Domestic Abuse Law, and Physical Abuse of an Elder Person. Nicole was taken to the Green County Jail, where she was held without bond pending a court appearance.

● At approximately 11:57 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a possible physical altercation in the 700 block of 12th Avenue.Investigation resulted in Stephanie A. Hopkins, 33, Homeless, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct under Wisconsin Domestic Abuse Law. Stephanie was taken to the Green County Jail and held pending a court appearance.

On April 13:

● At approximately 12:38 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a physical altercation in progress, in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West. Investigation resulted in Chelsey A. Voigt, 29, Monroe, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct/ Battery, Resisting an Officer and Battery to a Law Enforcement Officer. Chelsey was taken to the Green County Jail where she was held without bondpending a court appearance.

● At approximately 1:58 p.m. Officers located Jeffrey W. Walters, 64, Monroe, in the 1500 block of llth Street. Investigation resulted in Jeffrey being arrested on an active Arrest Warrant. Jeffrey was taken to the Green County Jail where he was held without bond.

● At approximately 4:27 p.m. Officers responded to the 1000 block of 7th Avenue at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Investigation resulted in Courtney J. Jackson, 26, Monroe being arrested on an Apprehension Request by the Department of Corrections. Courtney was taken to the Green County Jail where she was held without bond.

● At approximately 4:37 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 12th Avenue. Investigation resulted in Stephanie A. Hopkins, 33, Homeless being arrested for 3 counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping for violating conditions of her bond through Green County Circuit Court. Stephanie was held pendingcourt of cash bond.

On April 14:

● At approximately 11:54 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 12th Avenue for a reported disorderly person. Lee E.K. Snow, 18, Monroe, was later located in the 300 block of 4th Street, where he was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Possession of THC, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Lee was taken to the Green County Jail where he was held without bond pending court.

On April 19:

● 12:11 a.m., officers were called to a report of an assault that had occurred at a residence in the 2700 block of STH 69. An investigation led to Alisha F. Bennett, 21, Stockton, IL, and Brinley R. Gebhart, 20, Monroe, being cited for battery. Bennett and Gebhart were released pending a court appearance.


Green County Sheriff

On March 16:

● At 8:39 p.m., Deputies responded to the N8500 block of Klitzke Rd, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a vehicle stuck in a field.  Investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Jennifer R. Fultz, 43, of Dalton City, IL, was traveling northbound on Klitzke Rd. The vehicle continued northbound and entered the ditch/field to the north of STH 39.  The vehicle then collided with a post and became stuck in the field.   Fultz and her passenger reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy.   The vehicle sustained minor damage and   was towed from the scene. Investigation resulted in Fultz being arrested for operating under the influence.  Fultz was further cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration greater than .15 and inattentive driving.  Fultz was later released to a responsible party pending a mandatory court appearance.

On March 18:

● At approximately 12:58 a.m., Deputies stopped and cited Tristen J. Anglin, 18 of Monroe, for speed (74/55) in the W5000 blk of CTH KK, Town of Monroe. Further investigation resulted in Tristen being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Tristen was additionally issued citations for Violating Absolute Sobriety law and Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle. Tristen was later released to a responsible party with a mandatory future court date.

 On March 23:

● At approximately 8:01 a.m., Deputies responded to the W7900 block of State Highway 11, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a verbal altercation. Further investigation resulted in the offender, Tieler R. Malmquist-Duncan, 21 of Beloit, being arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Tieler was jailed pending his initial court appearance.

On March 25:

● At approximately 3:01 p.m., Deputies responded to the W6000 block of Iliff Rd, Town of Monroe, for a single vehicle crash. Investigations found that David W Barsness, 71, of Monroe, was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the ditch. Barsness denied injury, reported wearing his seatbelt, and there was airbag deployment. Barsness’ vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Barsness was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st-Offense) and was cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Barsness was released to a responsible party.


Lafayette County Sheriff

On April 14:

● 8:50 a.m. Woodford First Response and Argyle EMS responded to CTH M, Wiota Township for a medical emergency. 

● 2:51 p.m.  Blanchardville Fire responded to Gratz Rd, Blanchard Township for a grass fire. 

● 7:00 p.m. Pedro Perea-Duran, 37, Belmont was cited for OWL (1st) on STH 81, Seymour Township. 

● 7:19 p.m.  A deputy responded to STH 11, City of Shullsburg for custodial interference. 

● 7:44 p.m. Michael J. Edge, 36, Cuba City was cited for Unnecessary Acceleration on Miner Way, City of Shullsburg. 

● 11:32 p.m. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to Galena ST, Village of Benton for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene. 

On April 15:

● 10:23 a.m. A deputy responded to S Lafayette ST, Village of Argyle for criminal damage. 

● 12:26 p.m. Darlington Fire responded to Gravel Run RD, Lamont Township for a skid steer fire. Darlington Police assisted.

● 4:53 p.m. Deputies responded to Faymont RD, Darlington Township for a disorderly dispute. 

● 6:38 p.m. South Wayne Fire responded to Tollakson RD, Wayne Township for a barn fire. Darlington Fire, Gratiot Fire, Warren Fire, Darlington Police and a deputy assisted on scene.  

● 9:18 p.m. Belmont Fire responded to Prairie RD, Seymour Township for tractor fire. A deputy assisted on scene. 

● 10:44 p.m. A deputy responded Railroad ST, Village of Gratiot for criminal damage. 

On April 16:

● 1:42 a.m. Shullsburg EMS responded to CTH O, Shullsburg Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene. 


Monticello Police

On April 3:

● At approximately 11:50 a.m., Officers responded within the village for an emergency medical call.  Green County EMS and Monticello First Response also responded. 

On April 4:

● At approximately 7:47 a.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of State Hwy 69 for a welfare check.  It was reported a male was walking in the area and they appeared to be visibly upset.  Officers located the male and found that everything was okay.  

● At approximately 11:35 a.m., Officers checked the area of S. Main Street and Wisconsin Avenue for a report of a fire hydrant that had been painted black.  

● At approximately 5:13 p.m., Officers took a suspicious activity report and the investigation is ongoing. 

On April 5:

● At approximately 6:46 a.m., Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Pratt Road for a report of a transient that was found sleeping in a doorway to a business.  The officers checked on the welfare of the transient who then left the area on bike trail.   No further action was needed. Family Promise of Monroe was notified. 

● At approximately 12:09 p.m., Officers received information of a citizen that had been defrauded of money in scam in the 200 block of S. Garfield Street.  After officers checked into the matter the victim did not want to report the matter to law enforcement.  No further was taken. 

On April 6:

● At approximately 7:26 a.m., Officers assisted Monroe Police Department with a school bus complaint. The vehicle that drove though the bus red flashing light was last seen going northbound on STH 69. A vehicle description and a partial plate was given. Officers monitored STH 69 and did not locate the vehicle.  

● At approximately 10:56 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an observed traffic violation on E. Highland Avenue at Jefferson Street.  As a result of the traffic stop, Ashley N. Daniels, 32,  of Miles, Iowa was arrested/cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration, failure/improper stop at a stop sign, no proof of vehicle insurance and failure to maintain steering/suspension.  After all of the necessary paperwork was completed, Daniels was released to a responsible person.  There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. 

On April 10:

● At approximately 12:40 p.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Pratt Road for an open line 911 call. Officers checked the area and were not able to locate anyone needing assistance. Everything was found to be okay in the area.
