Green County

MONROE — On March 19:

●  At approximately 12:20 AM, Deputies observed a vehicle in the 1000 block of 20th St., City of Monroe, parked in the middle of the roadway.   Investigation resulted in the operator, Dalton L. Wendler, 22 of South Wayne, being placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle While under the Influence of Alcohol, 1st Offense. Dalton was issued a future court date and was turned over to Green County Jail staff.  

●  At approximately 2:42 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 6th St. and 22nd Ave. in the City of Monroe.  Investigation resulted in the operator, Brittany N. Ethridge, 30 of Monroe, being placed under arrest for Operating a motor vehicle While under the Influence of Alcohol, 2nd offense. Brittany was issued a future court date and was released to a responsible party.  Further investigation resulted in the passenger, Tayler J. Graves, 22 of Monroe, being cited for Possession of THC and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Tayler was given a future court date and was given a ride from the scene.

On March 24:

●  At approximately 5:02 pm, Deputies responded to the Probation and Parole Office to take Chad A Davis, 35, of Brooklyn, into custody for a probation/parole violation. Davis was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.


Lafayette County

DARLINGTON — On March 15: 

●  A deputy responded for a minor two-vehicle accident at 11:10 a.m. on county XX, Town of Belmont.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — On March 20:

●  At 4:55pm, Police responded to the 2100 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of a Hit & Run Traffic Crash; a parked vehicle was struck. This matter remains under investigation.

On March 21:

●  At 8:09am, Police responded to the 100 block of 1st St. for the report of an Animal Problem; an injured goose. The goose flew away after the officer’s arrival.  

●  At 2:38pm, Police responded to the 200 block of 2nd St. for the report of an Animal Problem; a cat bite.  This matter was reported to the Green County Health Department.  

●  At 5:13pm, Police responded to the 100 block of 1st St. for the report of an Animal Problem; two dogs at large. The area was checked but the dogs were not located.  

On March 22:

●  At 9:20am, Police responded to the N400 block of E 2nd Ave. for the report of Suspicious Activity; a vehicle driving slow through the area.  Upon investigation it was determined that the subject was a new bus driver learning his route.  No other suspicious activity was located.  

●  At 1:56pm, Police responded to the 1600 block of 1st Center Ave. for the report of Damage to Property; a vehicle window broken.  Upon investigation it was determined that the window shattered due to previous damage to the vehicle around the window.

On March 23:

●  At 6:36pm, a 30 year old Brodhead man was cited in the 2400 block of 1st Center Ave. for Unsafe Backing following the report of a minor Traffic Crash.

On March 24:

●  At 8:29am, Police responded to the 2500 block of W 5th Ave. for the report of Disorderly Conduct with a Motor Vehicle; a vehicle driving recklessly in the area.  Contact was made and a warning was issued. 

●  At 1:39pm, a 29 year old Orfordville woman was cited in the 100 block of 1st St. for Failure to Transfer Title. 

●  At 2:29pm, Police responded to the 400 block of E 5th Ave. for the report of an Animal Problem; a dog at large. The dog returned home prior to officer arrival; a warning for No Dog License was issued.

●  At 4:23pm, Police responded to the 1000 block of 19th St. for the report of Theft; a laptop of undisclosed value was taken. This matter remains under investigation.  

●  At 6:53pm, Police responded to the 1000 block of 21st St. for the report of Harassment; a subject received unwanted contact. This matter remains under investigation.

On March 26:

●  At 12:12am, an 18 year old female from Monroe and a juvenile from Brodhead were cited in the area of E 4th Ave and Exchange Street for Possession of THC and Paraphernalia. 

●  At 9:54am, Police responded to the 400 block of E 5th Ave for a reported dog at large. The dog was no longer at large and the owner was contacted and warned to repair the fence where the dog was getting out.


Monroe Police

MONROE — On March 22:

●  At approximately 2: 18 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of State Highway 69. Investigation resulted in Matthew R. Kelly, 39, Sterling, Illinois, being arrested for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Matthew was also cited for Operating After Suspension of Registration and Operating without Insurance. A passenger in the vehicle, Nancy L.E. Scudder, 32, Rock Falls, Illinois, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstructing an Officer. A second passenger, Joel M. Moore, 34, Sterling, Illinois, was also arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Obstructing an Officer. All subjects were then taken to the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.

On March 23:

●  1:59 pm; Monroe PD Officers conducted a warrant attempt in the 1800 12th Street in the City of Monroe. A result of the attempt led to the arrest of Jamie L Churchill ( 42) of Monroe on a valid warrant for Operating After Revocation through the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department. Jamie was transported to the Green/Lafayette County line by an officer and turned over to a Lafayette County Sheriff’s Deputy without incident.

On March 26:

●  At 1:28 AM, officers arrested Ashlyn R. Sheafor (22), Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 1100 block of 21st Street. Sheafor was cited for operating after revocation and operating without insurance. Sheafor was additionally charged with bail jumping due to a violation of court ordered bail conditions prohibiting operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Sheafor was booked and released after posting cash bail, pending a court appearance. 

●  At 2:56 PM, officers cited Timothy D. Kennedy (40), Monroe, with retail theft, following a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. Kennedy was released pending a court appearance. 

●  At 9:23 PM, officers cited Emily A. Yanke (29), Monticello, with retail theft following a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. Yanke was released pending a court appearance.

On March 28:

●  At 11:07 AM, officers arrested Bryan K. Waddell (55), Monroe, at a residence in the 300 block of 4th Street, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Waddell was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceeedings.

On March 30:

●  At 4:16 PM, officers were called to a two vehicle accident with reported minor injuries at 16th Street and 16th Avenue. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Emma Sanchez Chipahua (21), Monroe, westbound on 16th Street, left the stop sign to cross 16th Avenue and collided with a vehicle which was northbound on 16th Avenue, operated by Kaitlyn L. Hendrickson (31), New Glarus. A 2 year old male passenger in the Hendrickson vehicle sustained minor injuries, but EMS was declined. There were severe vehicle damages to the Hendrickson vehicle and minor damages to the Chipahua vehicle. Chipahua was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and operating without a valid driver’s license, and was released pending a court appearance.
