Linda Rae Trumpy, age 61 of Monroe was taken into the hands of the Lord on June 2, 2012 at her home in Monroe, surrounded with the love of her daughter (Lynn) and family. Linda was born on May 3, 1951 to Floyd and Elaine (Zoller) Trumpy. Linda grew up in the Monticello area on the family farm, attending the Silver country school, and then Monticello High School, graduating in 1969. Linda was employed by Green County Human Services in the Pleasant View Complex outside of Monroe, and was actively involved with Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. She was an active gardener, especially loving her flower garden. She was also a devoted and loving grandmother. She was also a bowler with the Slo-Rollers league.
Linda is survived by daughter, Lynn (Jason) Pendergrass, grandchildren Elizabeth and Jarred Pendergrass, all of Monroe; her father Floyd Trumpy, of Monroe; a sister Beth Hellwig of Brodhead; three brothers, David Trumpy, Donald (Julie) Trumpy and Dale (Ann) Trumpy, all of Monticello; and nieces and nephew Penny, Tori, Dustin and Sandy, all of Monticello; a great niece, Isabelle; a great nephew, Jacob; many aunts, cousins and friends; and a very special friend Jeannie Blumer of Albany. She was predeceased by her Mother Elaine (Zoller) Trumpy; grandparents Ludwig & Adelaide Zoller and Jacob & Rosa (Zentner) Trumpy; her great-grand parents; and her brother in law, Johnny Hellwig. Linda will be sadly missed by all her co-workers, family and friends and her fellow church associates.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2012 from 10:00 AM until time of service at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, followed by a lunch in the fellowship hall. Family burial will follow lunch in the Highland Cemetery in Monticello.
