On February 5:
● 4:00 p.m. Adam D Bliss, 42, Monroe was arrested on a valid Probation and Parole Violation at CTH K, City of Darlington. Bliss was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.
● 10:31 p.m. A deputy responded to W Mound View Rd, Village of Belmont to assist the Belmont Police Department with a traffic stop. As a result, Edis A Salgado-Diaz, 20, Darlington was arrested for Operate without Valid License (2nd) and Obstructing an Officer. Salgado-Diaz was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released on a cash bond.
On February 6:
● 7:43 a.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to Dublin RD, Darlington Township for a one vehicle accident. Joseph L Wedig, 63, Darlington was traveling westbound on Dublin RD in a New Holland tractor pulling a Kuhn manure spreader. Wedig met another tractor traveling eastbound, so he was traveling on the shoulder of the roadway. When Wedig attempted to proceed back onto the roadway, the tractor and trailer started to sway. Wedig then entered back into the ditch and overturned. Wedig had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Hospital for evaluation. Deputies assisted on scene and the vehicles were towed from the scene.
● 6:09 p.m. Valisa L Christianson, 32, Argyle reported striking a deer on STH 78, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported, and Christianson’s 2020 Chevrolet was towed from the scene with disabling damage.
● 7:04 p.m. Jhorshy B Azurdia-Santos, 18, Shullsburg was arrested for Fleeing. Azurdia-Santos was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released.
On February 7:
● 2:55 p.m. Belmont Fire Department responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a car fire. A deputy assisted on scene.
On February 8:
● 4:40 p.m. Darlington Fire Department responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for a round bale on fire.
● 5:07 p.m. A deputy responded to W Commerce St, Village of Belmont for a minor two vehicle accident. Todd C Dailey, 57, Platteville was backing up with his 2009 Dodge and struck a 2006 Pontiac owned by Michael L Hardy, 64, Platteville. Both vehicles received minor damage and were driven from the scene. Dailey was cited for Unsafe Backing.
● 5:59 p.m. South Wayne Fire Department responded to CTH B, Town of Wayne for a telephone pole fire. Alliant Energy assisted on scene.
On February 9:
● 11:05 a.m. Deputies responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township for a domestic dispute. Justin A Zirott, 33, Gratiot was cited for Disorderly Conduct.
● 12:36 p.m. A deputy responded to W Center ST in the Village of South Wayne for a minor two-vehicle accident. Randall M Patterson, 69, Monroe was backing out of the post office bay in a 2017 Chevrolet when he struck a parked 2018 Chevrolet. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene with minor damage.
● 6:47 p.m. Michael E Berg, 66, Blanchardville reported striking a deer on CTH D, Fayette Township. No injuries were reported and Berg’s vehicle was driven from the scene with minor damage.
On February 10:
● 9:46 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH H, Benton Township for a disabled vehicle. Tabitha M Taylor, 42, South Wayne was arrested for a Probation Violation and transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody.
On February 12:
● 1:38 p.m. Belmont Fire Department responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for a brush fire. Lafayette County Highway Department assisted on scene.
● 10:39 a.m. Amy J Drye, 36, South Wayne reported striking a deer at CTH D, Wayne Township. Drye’s 2014 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene
● 10:55 p.m. Belmont EMS responded to STH 81, Town of Elk Grove for a medical emergency. Southwest Health EMS, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Belmont Fire Department and the UW Madison Med Flight assisted on scene.
On February 14:
● 8:24 p.m. Darlington Fire responded to STH 23 in the city for a gas spill.
On February 15:
● 4:08 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Blanchard Township for a one vehicle accident. Timothy R Hanson, 54, Blanchardville was traveling eastbound on CTH F in his 2011 Ford when he struck a patch of ice and lost control, and slid into the ditch. No injuries were reported and Hanson’s Ford was towed from the scene.
