On January 28:
● 8:29 a.m. Shullsburg Fire and EMS responded to CTH O, White Oak Springs Township for a one vehicle rollover. Terrance J Mutert, 57, Shullsburg was traveling northbound on CTH O in a 2005 Dodge when he lost control, struck a snow bank and overturned. Mutert denied EMS and his vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Mutert was cited for Failure to keep Vehicle under Control.
● 4:46 a.m. Hannah M Hauser, 26, Darlington reported striking a deer on Wildcat Rd, Willow Springs Township. Hauser’s 2017 Jeep received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
On January 29:
● 6:51 a.m. A deputy responded to Truman Rd, Kendall Township for a one vehicle vs pole accident. Levi C Westemeir, 18, Darlington was traveling on Truman Rd when he lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet due to icy road conditions. Belmont EMS, Belmont Fire and Alliant Energy all assisted on scene. Westemeir’s Chevrolet received severe damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
● 8:18 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH D, Fayette Township for a vehicle in the ditch.
● 1:58 p.m. A deputy responded to Gant Rd, Fayette Township for a one vehicle accident. Trey R Leopold, 29, Monroe was traveling on Gant Rd, when he lost control of his vehicle causing the vehicle to strike a guardrail and bridge. Leopold’s 2018 Ford, received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. Lafayette County Highway Department assisted on scene.
● 3:21 p.m. A deputy responded to White School Rd, Town of Monticello for a one vehicle rollover. Brandon L Capp, 39, Gratiot was traveling on White School Rd when he lost control on his 2019 GMC, causing him to exit the roadway, rolling over and coming to a rest on the roof. Apple River Fire Department and Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene. Capp’s GMC received severe damage and was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported. As a result, Capp was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (1st).
● 5:41 p.m. Lindsay N Gabel, 37, Gratiot reported striking a deer on STH 78, Town of Wayne. Gabel’s 2016 Chevrolet received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On January 30:
● 5:58 p.m. Austin D Diffenderfer, 24, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 81, Lamont Township. Diffenderfer’s 2021 Kia received minor damages and was driven from the scene.
● 7:33 p.m. Levi C Westemeier, 18, Darlington reported striking a deer on CTH G, Town of Kendall. Westemeier’s 2004 Ford received moderate damage and was towed from the scene
● 9:42 p.m. Yaree A Martin, 36, Cuba City was arrested for Possession of THC on STH 81, Elk Grove Township. Martin was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released.
On January 31:
● 3:42 p.m. South Wayne Fire and First Response, Green County EMS, and a deputy responded to STH 11, Wayne Township for a minor three vehicle accident.
● 6:17 p.m. Kayla N Hoster-Hille, 38, Apple River, IL reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. No injuries were reported and Hooster-Hille’s 2013 Ford received severe damage and was towed from the scene.
On February 1:
● 6:05 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Monticello Township for a vehicle in the ditch
On February 3:
● 4:58 a.m. Christopher D Hinderman 51, Belmont reported striking a deer on CTH Z, Town of Kendall. Hinderman’s 2006 GMC received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 5:50 p.m. Rick D Robare, 63, Roscoe IL reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. Robare’s 2023 Mazda received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 6:18 p.m. Michael Wright, 60, South Bend IN reported striking a deer on STH 78, Town of Argyle. Wright’s 2016 Toyota received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 6:27 p.m. Deputies responded to Heller Ct, City of Shullsburg for a bail jumping complaint. As a result, Jason J Riddick, 41, Shullsburg and Wynter B Sudo, 23, Shullsburg were both arrested for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Riddick and Sudo were transported to the Lafayette County Jail where they remain in custody.
On February 4:
● 12:57 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Village of South Wayne for a theft.
● 6:18 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 11, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch. As a result, Gina M Curran, 48, Shullsburg was cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle under Control, Failure to Notify Police and Hit and Run.
On February 5:
● 8:43 a.m. Anthony R Castle, 46, Chetek, was transported to the Lafayette County Jail from the Monroe County Jail for valid Lafayette County warrants. Castle remains in custody.
