WARREN - Kevin L. Upmann, 52, of Warren, IL passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. Kevin was born on April 21, 1965 to Leo and Janet (Koehler) Upmann in Freeport. He graduated from Warren High School in 1983. Kevin Married Lori Hawkinson on March 26, 1999 in Elizabeth. Kevin was a truck driver for various trucking companies, even being an owner operator at one point. He was an avid sports fan; especially cheering for the Michigan Wolverine's "Hail to the Victor" and the Dallas Cowboys. Kevin also enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr., participating in tough man contests, arm wrestling, and farming. Kevin was also on the Rockford Panthers Semipro football team. Kevin also spent a lot of time in his wood shop.

Kevin is survived by his wife Lori of Warren, their four legged children; Teddy, the boarder collie, and Tom, the tuxedo cat, mother Janet Upmann of Warren, siblings; Gene (Ann Marie) Koehler of Quincy, MA, Ken Upmann of Dubuque, IA, Kerri (Nicholas) Ruf of Darlingotn, WI; father-in-law Allen Hawkinson of Lena, brothers and sisters-in-law; Scott (Chris) Hawkinson of Dodgeville, WI, Marsha (Mark) Bosch of Plainfield, IL, Steve (Connie) Hawkinson of Monroe, WI, Rhonda "Weezy" Hawkinson of Nashville, TN, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father Leo Upmann in 2016, mother-in-law Cathryn Hawkinson in 2016, and his grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established in Kevin's name.
