Kenneth M. Johnson, age 79 of Albany, died Saturday, April 21, 2012. He was born on July 3, 1932 in Franklin Park, IL; the son of William and Bertha (Hedeman) Johnson. He graduated from Franklin Park High School. He served in the Army during the Korean war. Kenneth married Helen M. Hauschild, and they were married for several years. Ken spent the last 23 years with his companion and friend, Flora "Tinker" Christian, until her death in 2005. Ken was self employed and worked scraping and recycling just about everything. He enjoyed going to auctions, sales, and flea markets; liked to watch TV, enjoyed listening to baseball on the radio, and most of all loved to fly.
He is survived by 8 children: Bernie (Dan) Hancock, Doreen (David) Kramer, Albert (Kendrah) Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Irene Johnson, Cheryl (Cliff) McKinsey, Teresa Barnett, and Bobby Hayes; brothers, Albert Johnson and Robert Johnson; a sister, Lillian (Wally) Kaden; 26 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, companion; Tinker; son, John, sister, Bertha Radomski; brothers, Bill and Richard.
A celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 25 from 5 to 7 pm, at EVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Brodhead.
