JANESVILLE - Kathleen "Kay" Scully, age 76, of Janesville, died at her home with her family at her side on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, following a courageous but short battle with cancer. She was born in Monroe on Sept. 7, 1935, the daughter of Robert and Frances (Bloom) Blumer. She married John D. Scully in St. John Evangelical & Reform Church, Monroe, WI on Feb. 19, 1955, and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2010. Kay had been employed by McNally & Co., Stanley Anderson, Inc., and lastly at Cole Electric, retiring in 1998. She was a consummate NASCAR fan, undeniably the biggest Dale Earnhardt fan, was a member of the VFW Auxiliary; and loved spending time with family especially her wonderful granddaughters.
She is survived by her children: Kevin Scully of Ocala, FL, Karleen Scully of Janesville and Kris (Paul) Wojczak of Janesville; 7 grandchildren: Rick (Jennifer) Scully of Beloit, David (Trisha) Scully of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel (Stacey) Scully of Las Cruces, NM, Ana Lisa (Terry) Skinner of Hawaii, Eileen (Ernest) Henry of Clovis, NM, Karleen Wojczak and Kelsey Wojczak both of Janesville; and 5 great grandchildren including the newest great grandson, Henry John. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and great grandson, Ayden Scully.
A Celebration of Life with sharing of memories will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum.
