Karen E. (McKenna) Niedzwiecki, age 50 of Jackson, WI, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Karen was born on May 27, 1967 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Bernard McKenna and Erlene (Gille) McKenna. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1985 and attended Patricia Stevens College in Milwaukee. She married Scott Niedzwiecki in January, 1993. Karen has been employed as an x-ray technician at Froedtert Clinic in Menomonee Falls for the past 20 years. She enjoyed biking, spending time with her family, and sharing her life with her loved companion, Bella, her rescue dog.
She is survived by her mother, Erlene (Walt) Graber of Monroe; a brother, Ed (Abbey) McKenna of Marion, TX; a sister, Gina (Tom) Acker of Cross Plains; two step-brothers, Jeff (Dawn) Graber of Mount Horeb, and Tim (Amy) Graber of New London; nieces and nephews, Jessica Schneckloth, Molly Chambers, Josh and Brianna Acker; and Cannon, Brea, Jonah, and Adeline Graber; a great niece, Anneliese Schneckloth; and a close friend, Dan Fritsch. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard, in 2003; and an aunt, Joyce Houston.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Monsignor Larry Bakke officiating. Karen's family will greet friends following the memorial mass in St. Victor's Nilles Hall. A memorial fund will be established in her name. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
