Judy Price entered our garden of Angels on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Judy (Hellwig) Price, born September 23, 1941 to father, Willie Frank Hellwig & mother, Letha Mae (Eberle) Hellwig.
She is survived by wife & caregiver Mary Pandow of 34 years, legally since June 12, 2014; and her beloved dog, Remy. Judy had four sons Dennis (deceased), Timothy (Gerrie), David "J.R." and Howard (Sheila). Judy had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she loved dearly. She was very close to grandson Robbie who faithfully stopped by to check-in before heading back to college each weekend. She is further survived by brothers, Gary (deceased) Norman (Mary Jane), Gordon (Nancy) and Johnny (deceased).
Judy worked at Advance Transformer as a Foreman for over 30 years, and later at The Monroe Times. Being a hard worker and significant people person she had a wide circle of friends. She was a very thoughtful and caring person who was always there for anyone and everyone in need.
She loved traveling with their special friends Myrna Peterson & Cheryl Hack, and attending church with special friend Greg Dire. In addition, her friend, Bob Crook from California who made a yearly visit to share time with Judy.
Judy loved her tools and counting on her loving friends Mike and Deb McNally to assist her when putting together book cases, cabinets, assembling beds and so much more. In fact they were each other's dog sitters, for it was Mike & Deb who cared for Remy, the spoiled Bichon Frise, while Judy went through her month long journey of Leukemia treatment at Meriter Hospital. Remy was Judy's greatest companion ever.
Judy had a great love of sports, she thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. She always looked forward to gathering with her friends to watch the Packers and Badgers. During her treatments in the Oncology department, she always took the opportunity to discuss the latest game with the nurses.
Judy leaves behind "best" friend Judy Tway; both having a special interest in quilting, sharing materials to make wall hangings, pillows & quilts. And also friend, Sue Isley, who Judy worked with, and helped each other during difficult times & loved reminiscing about the past.
Judy loved spending time at Crystal Lake, kayaking around the lake on those peaceful quiet days watching Blue Herron's & Eagles soar the land & waters.
Judy leaves behind two special sisters-in-law, Nancy Hellwig & Beth Hellwig both whom kept the traditional family gatherings together.
Judy appreciated all the caring people in her life who took care of her during her illness; especially her son, Howie, who was always there for her when she needed him. The Doctors, Nurses, Hospice nurses, Kelly and Kelsey, Monroe Hospital, Meriter Hospital & the Oncology department at the Monroe Clinic Hospital who were so kind & caring during her illness. And special thanks to Dr. Hegeman who fought so hard for Judy.
Per Judy's wishes no formal services will be held. A private memorial gathering amongst her closest friends and family will be held at a later date. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
