JUDA - Joyce E. Trotter, age 80, formerly of Juda, WI, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, WI. She was born on February 7, 1934 in Brodhead, WI, the daughter of Ivan and Mary (Davis) Arnsmeier. She married Charles Trotter on June 27, 1952 in Dubuque, IA. He passed away on January 7, 2009.

Joyce graduated from Juda High School in 1952 as Salutatorian. She also attended Green County Normal School and taught at a country school. Joyce and her husband formerly owned and operated the Mobil Station and the Neighborhood Grocery Store, both in Monroe, and she also had worked for MTX. She had been a member of the Stateline Lutheran Church for many years, and attended the United Methodist Church, Juda, WI. She also was a former member of the Women of the Moose. Joyce enjoyed gardening, Badger basketball, babysitting and going to her children and grandchildren's activities. Her true passion was bowling, where she attended 25 state tournaments and many national tournaments.

Joyce is survived by her children, Heidi (Steve) Miller, Brodhead,WI, Scott (Bill) Trotter, Winston-Salem, NC, Phillip (Sue) Trotter, Kim (Sue) Trotter, both of Juda, WI; a sister, Janet Thommen, Monroe, WI; a sister-in-law, Kate Friedrich, Monroe, WI; a brother-in-law, Nate (Carolyn) Trotter, Jim Kingston, both of Janesville, WI; twelve grandchildren, Holly Walker, Steve, Ben and Justin Miller, Josh Zweifel, Tyler and Michelle Francois, Megan, Matthew, McKayla, Miranda and Celina Trotter; four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Oliver Miller, Nadeli Walker, and Aleah Zweifel; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Tami Francois, two sisters, Bernice Stuckey and Carrie Zimmerman, four brothers, Raymond, Rodney, Marion, and David, in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Zion United Methodist Church, Juda, WI, with Pastor Vicki Brantmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
