Joseph W. "Bud" Schwetz, 87, of 13723 199th St., Jim Falls, town of Anson, died peacefully Friday, March 18, 2011 at home, surrounded by his family.

Joe married Marjorie E. Douglas on Sept. 9, 1947 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls and has resided in Jim Falls since that time. Marjorie preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 1992. He married Bernice Schichel on July 11, 1997.

Survivors include: His wife, Bernice; one daughter, Nancy Krier of Monroe; three granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda Krier, Cara Skaife; son-in-law, Tom (Kathy Templeton) Skaife; four great-grandchildren; five step-children; eleven step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjorie; daughter, Patricia Skaife; granddaughter, Theresa Skaife; son-in-law, Kirk Krier; two brothers, Walter and James Schwetz; two sisters, Arlene Hoover, Mary Jane Roth.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 22 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls with Deacon Mark Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls with military rites conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
