John Grochola Jr., age 62 of Albany, died on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Monroe Clinic Hospital following a long illness. John was born April 20, 1952, in Chicago, the son of John Sr. and Natalie (Bogucki) Grochola. He graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL and attended Triton Technical College in River Grove, IL. John married Victoria Bilek on December 31, 1975 in Wheaton, IL and they moved to Wisconsin in 1979. John was employed at the Swiss Colony Data Center from 1979 until retiring in 2012. He attended the Monroe United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with his loving family, golfing, cooking, and going cruising.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Grochola of Albany; a son, Chris (Julie) Grochola of Janesville; a daughter, Lisa Grochola of Capitol Heights, Maryland; three grandchildren, Caleb, Desirea, and Dilan; his mother, Natalie Grochola of Westchester, IL; a brother, Mike Grochola of Grand Blanc, Michigan; a half-sister, Marian (Fred) Kijak; and a niece and nephew, Jordan and Mike Grochola. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Booth officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross or Green County Humane Society in John's name. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
