Jeffrey A. Mayer, age 52, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly, on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was born on May 30, 1965 in Monroe, the son of Otto and Judith (Trumpy) Mayer.
Jeff was a 1983 graduate of Monroe High School and attended U.W. Platteville.
Jeff worked for Industrial Combustion in the sales department for 30 years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church; and a former member of Alpine Curling Club.
Jeff enjoyed many sports and was an avid Packer, Brewer and Badger fan; but his greatest joy was spending time with his most precious daughter Josie and his family.
He is survived by his parents, Otto and Judith Mayer of Monroe, daughter, Josie Mayer of Madison, sister, Brenda (Marc Blanc) Kohls of New Glarus, nephew, Joshua (Ashley) Kohls of Big Bend, WI.
He is preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal Grandparents, 2 Aunts, 3 Uncles and 1 Cousin.
Private family services will be held.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.
We find comfort in knowing he is at peace now and no longer suffering.
