James B. Holloway (Digger), 92, Of Winslow, Ill. passed away Friday August 12th, 2011, at his home. He was born January 2nd, 1919 in Freeport, Illinois. In 1951 he married Donna L. Bennehoff.
He was self employed and ran his own Excavating Service for many years. A life-long resident of Oneco Township and was 2nd in line for the Golden Cane. He was a member of the Antiques Wheeler Club and yesteryears club, a huge Chicago Cubs fan and loved going to watch the trains in Rochelle. He also loved to play Euchre with his family & friends.
He is survived by his wife Donna and two Sons, Charlie (Sandy), Jim (Jaynellen), 4 grandsons Nicholas, Adam, Jaymes and Jason, Two sisters Jean Monte and June (Gene) Jordan.
There will be a private family graveside service at Chapel Hill in Freeport. Jim was a great grandpa to his four Grandsons and he will be greatly missed and always loved. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
