Helen M. Gilbertson age 86, of Monroe, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. Helen was born August 15, 1928 in Argyle, WI the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Wyttenbach) Flint. She was a graduate of Argyle High School and married Tilman Gilbertson on August 15, 1947 at the Yellowstone Lutheran Church. Helen and her husband farmed in the Blanchardville area before moving to Monroe in 1970. She was employed at Oaktron Industries and Roy's Dairy before retiring. Helen was a member of the Blanchardville Lutheran Church and loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Hazel Cejka of Baraboo, and Virginia Gilbertson of Freeport, IL; two grandsons, Todd (Sue) Cejka of Onalaska, WI, and Tim (Tara) Cejka of Machesney Park, IL; five great-grandchildren, Ben, Logan, Matt, Hunter, and Reagan Cejka; sisters-in-law, Lela and Dolores Jenny; and brothers-in-law, Orville and Henry Gilbertson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tilman, in September, 1993; a son-in-law, Terry Cejka; and two brothers, James and Donald Flint.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Blanchardville Lutheran Church, 305 Madison Street, with Pastor Margo Martens officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Argyle. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Helen's name. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
