Hedwig "Hedy" (Grogg) Daughenbaugh, 86, of McConnell, IL, passed away peacefully at home on Friday August 11, 2017. She was born on February 25, 1931 in Monroe, WI, to Rudy and JeAnne (Aeschlimann) Grogg. She married Gerald Daughenbaugh on June 18, 1948 in Rock Grove, IL. She retired from Micro Switch in Freeport, and was a member of the McConnell United Methodist Church, the McConnell Historical Society, and the National Historical Cheese Making Center. Survivors include her Sons, David (Candy), Richard (Pat), Michael (Barb) Daughenbaugh, all of McConnell; Grandchildren, Joe (Tammy), Jeremy (Kim), Josh (Angie) Daughenbaugh, Jodi (Tim) Watter, Joan (Mitchell) Strong, Justin (Amber) Daughenbaugh; 11 great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, and special companion (dog) Rambo. She is preceded in death by Husband Doc Daughenbaugh, parents, and a brother. There will be a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory.
