H. Leon Laws, age 54 of Milton, formerly of Monroe, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. He was born on December 18, 1961 in Charleston, Illinois, the son of Seymour and Marilyn (Howard) Laws. He married Andrea Campbell on January 12, 1985 in Ventura, CA. Leon worked as a Bus Driver for Van Galder Bus Co. for many years and he was also a journeyman roofer. He was a member of the Teamsters union; he enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and cooking.
He is survived by his fiance, Elaine Baker of Milton; 3 sons: Victor Laws of Green Bay, Samuel (Adrionna) Laws and Justin (Hailey) Laws both of Monroe; daughter, Rachael Wilson of Portage, WI; 10 grandchildren; brothers: Samuel (Chris) Laws and Michael Laws, both of Villa Grove, IL; sisters: Sherry Varro, of Villa Grove, IL and Margie (Don) Kirkman, of Port Richey, FL; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Randy Laws.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2016 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will be in Oakley cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 noon, until the time of service.
