Gordon "Terry" Galvin, age 63 of Brodhead, Wisconsin area, died Friday, February 27, 2009 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born May 17, 1945 at Rice Lake, Wisconsin, the son of Gordon John and Avalon June (Biel) Galvin and graduated from Hononegah High School at Rockton, Illinois in 1962. Terry entered the U.S. Army April 8, 1968 at Rockford, IL, served as a Track Mechanic, was discharged November 12, 1969 at Oakland, CA as SP 4, and was in the active reserve until April 7, 1974. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Mechanics Badge.

Terry married Anna Mae Smith on October 10, 1986 at Monroe, WI. He was a mechanic in Loves Park, IL most of his life. Terry was a member of Walter Graham American Legion Post #332 in Rockton, IL.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae Galvin of Brodhead, WI; son, Ken (Rebecca Seibel) Vickers of Voltaire, ND; daughters, Michelle (Lee) Liphart of South Wayne, WI and Bobbie Jo (Jeff) Stading of Juda, WI; brother, Tim (Sandi) Galvin of Shirland, IL; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Michael.

A Celebration of Terry's Life will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe, Wisconsin.

A memorial fund is being established in Terry's memory.
