Frederick "Fred" Wolff Sr.

Frederick "Fred" Wolff Sr. age 86, passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born February 7, 1931 to Fred and Ida (Frank) Wolff at home. He married Frances "Fran" Huffman on April 16, 1955 and together they raised three devoted children. He was a lifelong farmer in the rural Warren area, alongside their sons Fritz and Jamie. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing cards, golfing, playing horseshoes, riding motorcycles and snowmobiling with Fran. He was a member of the Warren American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Fran of Warren, children; Fritz (Deb) Wolff of Warren, Julie (Ray) Costello of Rockford and Jamie (Carey) Wolff of Warren, Grandchildren; Brynn (Dennis) Groezinger of Lena, Benjamin Wolff of Browntown, Janelle (Jim) Jaeggi of Monroe, Jacob (Stephanie Freese) Wolff of Warren and Kyle and Mitchell Wolff of Warren, Great Grandchildren; Grace and Will Groezinger, Camden and Cooper Wolff, Jamison and Lily Jaeggi, Sisters-in-law; Sonja Wolff, Liz (Gary) Malkow, Dora (Bobby) Miller Donna (Chuck) Hartin, and Nona HuffmanBrothers-in-Law; Marvin (Cathy) Huffman, John (Becky) Huffman, Gary (Lynette) Huffman and Gene (Marian) Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward Wolff, sisters Marjorie Herbig, Phyllis Leitzen, brothers-in-law Max Huffman and Bob Huffman, sisters-in-law Jan Taylor, and Arlene Huffman, son Steven Wolff, and a great-granddaughter Maggie Groezinger.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Warren.

A visitation will be from 4-7:00 PM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren.

Pastor Intern Bryan Odeen will officiate the services.

A memorial has been established in his name.
