Fred G. Swanson, age 54 of Weiser, ID, formerly of Darlington, WI, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 at his home. He was born January 11, 1956, in DeKalb, IL, the son of George and Shirley (Kahnt) Swanson.
Fred is survived by three daughters: Kris (Mark) Friedenberger of Platteville, WI, Mindy Swanson of Darlington, and Sonja (Eric) Thompson of Sun Prairie, WI; one grandson: Ty Thompson; one sister: Jan Burns of Burlington, WI; one niece; one nephew; and one grand-niece. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Park Place in Darlington with Rev. Larry Hakes of Darlington United Methodist Church officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Bates-O'Brien-Howe-Wiegel American Legion Post #214 of Darlington. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service Monday, February 8, 2010, at the funeral home.
