MONROE - Frances D. "Frannie" Brandli, age 86, formerly of Albany, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on July 12, 1921 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Fritz and Signe (Nelson) Anderson. She graduated from Rockford High School. Frances married Chester Swanson on June 6, 1942 in Rockford, IL; she later married Gregor Brandli on December 2, 1978 in Albany, WI.

Frances belonged to the Albany Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker, belonging to the Winnettes Homemakers Club. Frannie was a certified foster parent, she enjoyed camping, swimming, bowling, flowers, children and babies.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Brandli of Monroe; five children, Julie Blumer of Albany, Penny (James) Thompson of Albany, James Swanson of Albany, Lori (Robert) Gile of Albany and Helen (Jeremy) Timm of Blanchardville; two sisters, Lila (Dick) Leech of Rice Lake, WI and Carolyn (Stan) Taylor of Ashland, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester; and a granddaughter, Andrea.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Vetter officiating. Burial will be in Norwegian Settlement Cemetery. A visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Albany Lions Club, following the committal service. A memorial fund is being established.
