ALBANY - Four teens were arrested after police smelled marijuana during a traffic stop on North Cincinnati Street at 4th Street late Monday, July 22.
Ike, the Green County Sheriff's K-9, was called in to sniff the vehicle at 9:23 p.m.
Officers found 33.9 grams of marijuana (about one and a fifth ounces), $1,270 in U.S. currency and several items of drug paraphernalia consistent with making drug sales, according to a release from the sheriff's department.
Alex C. Tyson and Robert J. Crull, both 18 and of Evansville, and Dallas P. Kinney, 17, Durand, Ill., were jailed. A 16-year-old Evansville boy was released to a parent and will be referred to Juvenile Intake.
The teens face charges of intent to deliver a controlled substance near a village park, possession of drug paraphernalia and failing to have the required state-issued stamps on drug contraband.
They also each face a charge of "Prohibited Acts B," a felony offense of using a structure or vehicle for storing a controlled substance.
