Evelyn Marie Brugger, 95, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at her home. She was born on October 23, 1921, the daughter Clarence and Norma (Zinser) Becker in Monroe. Evelyn was a 1939 graduate of Monroe High School and Madison School of Cosmetology. She was united in marriage to John B. Brugger in 1941 at her parent's home; he preceded her in death in 1986.
Evelyn worked as a secretary for several cheese companies, and retired from JS Hoffman Company after 18 years of dedicated service. She was a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Monroe Moose Lodge.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Tamara (Wilson) Bloom, Kristine Brugger, Lynette (George) Kjelland and Brian (Wanda) Brugger; grandchildren, Brent, Trisha, and Craig Bloom, Tashana, Paul, and Andrew Kjelland, Michael (Rachel) Brugger, Jan Brugger, and Afton Hoeper; two great grandchildren, Isabella Bloom and Adelyn Kjelland; and family friend, Jean Wyss.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and step father, Jim Heffron.
Private family services will be held. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
