BRODHEAD - Erma D. Keen, formerly of Brodhead, WI, went peacefully into the presence of her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, WI. She was born on May 20, 1929 in Waukesha County, WI, the daughter of Reuben and Elsie (Albright) Wachendorf Niedermeier. She married Dwight L. Keen on June 1, 1946 in Juda, WI. He passed away on June 7, 2007.
Erma graduated from Juda High School, and was educated in the secretarial field. Her last employment was with the Brennan, Steil, Ryan, Basting, McDougal Law Firm in Janesville. She had a heart for Christian ministry and served faithfully in music, teaching, typing and in prayer. She enjoyed fellowship with several churches, most recently, the Monroe Bible Church.
Erma is survived by her three children, Ellen Murphy, Fort Wayne, IN, Linda Barney, Susanville, CA, Daniel (Celia) Keen, Brodhead, WI; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Butzlaff, Lela Theriault; three brothers, Roy (Debbie) Niedermeier, Robert and William Wachendorf. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Trevor Arnett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Monroe Bible Church, Monroe, WI, with Rev. Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI.
