Ella J. Martin, age 90 of Albany, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Woods Crossing in Brodhead. She was born on July 17, 1918 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Martha (Becker) Litkea. She was a 1936 graduate of New Lisbon High School. Ella and Wilbur G. Martin were married on September 8, 1945 in New Jersey. She worked at Apco in Brodhead, Advance Transformer in Monroe and did upholstery in her home.

She was a member of Albany United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be forever in our hearts.

Survivors include sons, Douglas (Ada) Martin of Footville, WI, Dale Martin of Midlothian, TX, and Dwayne Martin of Albany, WI; daughters, Dianne McCool of Tempe, AZ, Donna (Merlin "Butch") Templeton of Janesville, WI, Debbie Jones of Albany, WI, Darcy (Alan) Stephenson of Albany, WI, and Dawn (Don) Lewis of Antigo, WI; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many special friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, a sister and a daughter-in-law, Katie Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2009 at ALBANY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.

A memorial fund is being established in Ella's memory.
