Edith L. Keele age 83 of Monroe, Wisconsin formerly of Albany, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at Monroe Manor Nursing Home. She was born September 5, 1929 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Cuthbert) Jeys and graduated from Ft. Dodge High School.

Edith married H. Dean Keele on April 5, 1958 at Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Edith was a homemaker, waitress, did home health care, helped organize Green County SHARE Program, volunteered at Albany Thrift Store, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother.

Surviving are sons, Bob (Sharon) Laird of Blackhawk, WI, Bruce Keele of Baraboo, WI, Chris Laird of Escanaba, MI, Joel (Renee) Keele of Colorado Springs, CO, Ken (Linda) Keele of Baraboo, WI, Loren (Julie) Keele of Ironton, WI, & Tim (Faith) Keele of Orangeville, IL; daughters, Kathryn (Terry) Kennedy of Monroe, WI & Colleen (Butch) Moen of Two Rivers, WI; 30+ grandchildren; and 40+ great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, H. Dean Keele; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Albany United Methodist Church with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, WI.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Edith's memory.
