Earl G. Grenzow, age 91, of Monroe, formerly of Juda, died on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born on April 15, 1925 in Juda, the son of George and Sylvia (Trumpy) Grenzow.
After attending Juda school, Earl took over the family dairy farm. He and Georgia Quincy were married on August 15, 1959 in Platteville.
He was a devoted and conscientious farmer, raising registered Holsteins, and was a man of integrity. After moving to Monroe in 2001, Earl worked part-time for several years as a driver for Monroe Publishing.
He was a member of the Juda Zion United Methodist Church and the Holstein Friezen Association since 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia of Monroe, daughter, Karen Grenzow of Monroe, sons John (Mary Jane) Grenzow and Kevin (Deanna) Grenzow, both of Monroe; grandchildren Dan Benkert of Albany; Ryan Grenzow of Oak Harbor, Washington; Trevor Wild of Monroe; and Elizabeth, Sally and Christina Grenzow of Monroe; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Ann Schou of Rockford and Grace Harter of Cherry Valley, Illinois; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Wendell.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Juda Zion United Methodist Church in Juda, with Pastor Randy Booth officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Juda.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.
