Duane "Bud" C. Cole

Mr. Duane "Bud" C. Cole, 68 of Beloit, died on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 21, 1941 in California to Victor and Dorothy (Johnson) Cole. He was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, Class of 1959.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Keresage. He was honorably discharged in 1964.

On February 26, 1966, he was joined in marriage to Diann Hughes at the Old Stone Church in Rockton.

Mr. Cole was employed by Fairbanks-Colt Industries where he tested diesel engines. He retired in September 2006 after 36 years of dedicated employment.

He was a member of the Beloit Moose Lodge, the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Packers.

He is survived by his wife, Diann. Their children: Matthew (Elizabeth) Cole, Browntown, WI, Carrie (Kenny Johnson) Cole-Anderson, Monroe, WI; four grandchildren: Carly Anderson, Monroe, Brandi Anderson, Monroe, Kirstin Cole, Browntown, Kyle Cole, Browntown; one aunt, Arlene "Rosie" Roels, S. Beloit, IL; friend, Sheri Yaints, S. Beloit, IL; a brother, Jay D. (Ruth) Cole, Mosinee; a sister, Vickie (Jeff) Duff, Virginia; two brothers-in-law, Clint (Jean) Hughes, Beloit and John (Jeanne) Hughes, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Clifford Cole.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, time 3 until 6 p.m. at Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home.

He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed and in our hearts forever.
