STOCKTON, Ill. - Duane A. Fry, age 63 of Stockton, IL, passed away Monday, September 09, 2013 at the Stockton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 18, 1949, the son of Stanley and Ardale (Winter) Fry. He graduated from Stockton High School in 1968. Duane served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Kelly Springfield after 33 years, then drove truck for Wright Trucking. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton, The Stockton VFW, and the JoDaviess County Wild Turkey Federation. He loved Stockton sports, hunting, fishing, and playing euchre. He also enjoyed listening to country music. Duane is survived by his mother, Ardale of Stockton; special friend, Sharon Webster of Scales Mound, IL; daughter, Kimberly (Ray) Plath of Janesville, WI; son, Daniel (friend, Tracy) of Argyle, WI; four grandchildren, Natasha, Jacob, Stevea, and Joshua; two sisters, Marjorie (Ron) Brown of Elizabeth, IL and Sandra (Gary) Plowman of Freeport, IL; and his cat, Vinny. He is preceded in death by his father. A visitation will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
