TOWN OF CLARNO — Deputies responding to what was initially a noise complaint in a field near Haddinger Road and Advance Road early Sunday morning came upon the scene of a one-car crash and arrested a Monroe man for operating while intoxicated and host of other offenses — including bail jumping.

Just before 3 a.m. deputies found the suspect’s vehicle in a field near the Clarno intersection.

The alleged driver, Kory R. Costa, 26 of Monroe, was then arrested and charged with his third OWI offense; as well as for a bail jumping misdemeanor. In addition, according to the sheriff’s office, he was charged with resisting an officer, damage to property, and disorderly conduct.

“He was located very quickly upon our arrival,” said Chief Deputy Thomas Moczynski said on Monday.

A 29-year-old female passenger from Orangeville was uninjured in the accident.

Authorities said Costa also was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control, operating a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, failure to notify law enforcement of an accident, failure to keep vehicle under control, and operating a vehicle following license revocation.

He remained in the Green County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
