Dr. Geoff Tullett, age 78, of Monroe passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 13, 2012 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 15, 1934 in Brighton, England, the son of Herbert and Gladys (Winter) Tullett. Geoff and Jean M. Brooker were married on December 10, 1960, in London, England, they had been married 52 years. He graduated from medical school at the University College in London, England, he later came to Monroe, in January of 1968 to practice medicine at the Monroe Clinic, his specialty was Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
He was a member of the Monroe Country Club for 44 years and the Monroe Arts Center.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of Monroe; son, Rodney (Teresa Wiant) and grandsons, Graham and Camden Tullett of Seattle, WA; daughter, Victoria Tullett (Cotten) Blackwell, and granddaughters Maura and Brina Blackwell of Vancouver, WA. He was predeceased by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Avenue.
A Memorial Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the funeral home, with Rev. Kay Krebs officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Geoff's name to either the Monroe Public Library or the Monroe Arts Center.
