ALBANY - Donavon Arthur Malkow age 77 of Albany, Wisconsin, passed away in his home on October 7, 2010. Donny was born on August 19, 1933 in Monroe, WI, the son of Arthur and Helen (Mahlkuch) Malkow.
Donny married Donna Jean (Matzke) Malkow on March 27, 1954 in Juda, WI and they farmed in Sylvester Township, rural Monroe on a third generation family farm all of his life. Donny enjoyed fishing, reading, hunting, and working on the family farm with his son Mike and grandson, Christopher. He enjoyed his long chats with friends and neighbors and rides in the country to see the colors with his wife. Donny was a member of the Green County Farm Bureau.
Surviving is his wife, Donna (Matzke) Malkow of Albany; son, Mike (Ellen Klarer) Malkow of rural Monroe; grandchildren, Jennifer & Christopher Malkow of Monroe; sister, Marilyn Flannery of Argyle; aunt, Sylvia Mahlkuch of Monroe; and nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Helen Malkow and brother-in-law, John F. Flannery.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe with Fr. Michael E. Klarer and Rev. Larry Hakes officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Memorial Fund is being established in Donny's name in lieu of flowers.
