Delbert J. Wyss, age 90 of Monroe, died on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at the Monroe Manor. He was born on February 18, 1920, in Monroe, the son of Walter and Katherine (Grimm) Wyss. Delbert and Norma Wyss were married on February 28, 1939, in Monroe. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754.
Surviving is his wife, Norma of Monroe; children, Delbert J. (Paula) Wyss of Waukon, Iowa, Marvin (Jane) Wyss of Monroe, Joan (Ron) Wayer of Mokena, Illinois; brothers, Chester (Alice) Wyss Rock City, Illinois and Roy (Janice) Wyss of Monroe; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is predeceased by brothers, Carl Wyss, Daniel Wyss and a grandson, Albert Wyss.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Gretchen Sylvester officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
