MONROE - A Monticello man entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with the Green County Circuit Court on March 26 and pleaded no contest to sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

Larry A. Hawthorn, 63, pleaded no contest to fourth-degree sexual assault, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.

Court records indicate he put his hand inside a woman's blouse and fondled her Sept. 28 at a residence in Washington township.

He also was ordered to pay $3,500 in restitution.
