MONROE — An Albany man was arrested for his sixth driving under the influence charge, following a one-car crash Sunday night.

Just after 11:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of S. Cincinnati St., Village of Albany, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch, police reports say.

That investigation, reports said, determined that the driver of the car, John H. Scully, 41 of Albany, lost control of the vehicle “on the snow-covered road and entered the ditch, becoming stuck.”

He was not injured, and told police he was wearing his seatbelt; and there was no airbag deployment. The vehicle was not damaged, according to police.

But Scully was charged for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol — 6th offense, felony bail jumping and threat to a law enforcement officer. In addition, police said, Scully was issued citations for possession of THC, operating without Insurance and failure to install and ignition interlock device.

He remained in Green County Jail Monday, pending an initial court appearance scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on March 21.
