Conrad F. Elmer, age 91 of Monticello, died on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on December 19, 1920 in Green County the son of Conrad A. and Martha (Waelti) Elmer. He grew up in the Dutch Hollow area and was a 1938 graduate of Monroe High School. Conrad and Llewellyn Wittwer were married on April 7, 1972. He farmed in the Monticello area the greater part of his life and he was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello.
He is survived by a step-son, Jeff Edmunds; nephews, Robert Holyoke and Dennis (Lori) Holyoke; brother-in-law, Tom Holyoke all of Monroe; 2 step grandsons; 2 step great grandchildren; 1 grand niece and 2 grand nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; wife, Llewellyn; sister, Mardelle Holyoke; brother-in-law, Alex Wittwer and a nephew, Richard Holyoke.
Family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe with Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. The Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is serving the family.
