Felonies
The court on Sept. 9 entered a not guilty plea and scheduled a Nov. 17 district attorney conference for Charles B. Loeffelholz Jr., 26, Brooklyn, who stood mute to substantial battery and disorderly conduct.
Court records allege he hit a man in the face and broke a bone July 4 in Jordan township. He attacked the man a second time after he was subdued.
He is charged with substantial battery, a class I felony, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than three years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
Misdemeanors
The court on Sept. 8 sentenced Douglas W. Axelson, 23, Brodhead, to 18 months probation after he pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia.
He faced up to 30 days in jail and up to $500 for the unclassified misdemeanor.
The court dismissed one count of possession of marijuana, a class I felony. He originally faced more than three years in prison and up to $10,500 in fines.
Court records indicate he had 1.4 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag in a cigarette package March 29 in Brodhead.
The court on Sept. 8 fined Travis P. Bowles, 21, Monticello, $1,200.50, including court costs, after he pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana.
He faced up to six months in jail and up to $1,000 for the unclassified misdemeanor.
Court records indicate he had 32 grams of marijuana in his possession Dec. 17 in Monroe.
