Dustin A. Trumpy, 18, Monticello, pleaded guilty Wednesday, Oct. 17, to a felony charge of fleeing an officer and a misdemeanor charge of resisting/obstructing an officer. Multiple counts of criminal damage to property and additional counts of fleeing and resisting were read in to Trumpy's sentence of five days in jail. He was granted an 18-month deferred prosecution and fined $243. If he successfully completes his probationary sentence, he will be eligible as a youthful offender to have the case expunged from his record. Court records for the case indicate that on May 28, while driving a green 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, he ran over four mailboxes in the Town of Sylvester in the W3900 block of Towns Road and N4700 block of Rindhand Road, then fled law enforcement at speeds of more than 110 mph. During the same sentencing hearing Oct. 17, he was fined $505 and his license suspended 90 days for a conviction of driving after drinking alcohol as an underager in June.
Stanley Wilkerson, Jr., 37, Brooklyn, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Oct. 17, to possessing 3.2 grams of marijuana in a plastic baggie concealed in a cellphone case on his belt on May 15. He was fined $719.
Alan Brian Lee, 46, Monroe, was charged Friday, Oct. 12, with misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass to a dwelling, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, battery and fourth-degree sexual assault and a felony charge of stalking. Court records indicate on Sept. 28 outside Stop-N-Go, 1607 9th St., Monroe, he punched out the driver's side window of his ex-girlfriend's 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser and forcefully grabbed and squeezed her left breast. The records further indicate he trespassed and was disorderly at a residence in the 1400 block of 11th Street in Monroe on Oct. 12. He has signed a $2,000 signature bond. His next court appearance is Nov. 20.
A criminal complaint with an arrest warrant was issued Monday, Oct. 22, for John P. Triggs, 26, Evansville, on two Class I felony counts of failing to pay child support for a 6-year-old girl in 2006 and 2011.
MISDEMEANORS
Kyle Lee McNett, 26, jailed in Monroe, pleaded no contest Friday, Oct. 12, to revoking his probation a month earlier on a charge from 2011 of trespassing. He was sentenced to five months in jail, minus 111 days of sentence credit. He owes the court $243.
Dustin Duane Ethridge, 29, Monroe, pleaded no contest Friday, Oct. 12, to a charge of disturbing the peace and was fined $330.50. A charge of criminal damage to property was dismissed. Court records indicate on July 7, Ethridge yelled and pounded and kicked a door to an apartment in the 700 block of 10th Avenue. During his arrest, he blew a preliminary breathalyzer test of .28 percent blood-alcohol concentration.
Braydon J. Collins, 17, Brodhead, pleaded no contest Tuesday, Oct. 16, to a charge of disorderly conduct and was granted a one-year deferred prosecution. Court records indicate he yell and swore at his mother, violently pushed a man and broke a cordless phone in July in a home in the 900 block of 19th Street in Brodhead. He is ordered to pay a $100 domestic abuse fine and pay at least $50 monthly toward unpaid fines in Green County totaling $656.50 and in the City of Brodhead Municipal Court totaling $2,514. He must also attend monitoring conferences and two victim-impact panels, one on domestic violence and the other on drug/alcohol crimes, and get his high school diploma or the equivalent.
Jesse John Evans, 29, Monroe, pleaded no contest Tuesday, Oct. 16, to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, unlawful phone use and criminal damage to property. He was granted a 24-month deferred prosecution, with the conditions that he pay a $489 fine and $2,400 in restitution and undergo alcohol abuse counseling. Court records indicate on Jan. 4 at a home in the 1000 block of 17th Street, he kicked open a bedroom door, screamed and swore at a woman and "karate-chopped" her three times in the ribs, then continued to scream at her for another 10 minutes until he passed out. He is also convicted of slashing four tires on her car and making threatening phone calls to her.
Jeffrey Dean McKaig, 43, Edgerton, pleaded no contest Thursday, Oct. 18, to a charge that he was disorderly and abusive with Monroe Clinic ER staff during an examination in August. Court records indicate his blood-alcohol concentration at the time tested at .29 percent. He owes the court $330.50.
Dan J. Drake, 48, Albany, was charged Thursday, Oct. 18, with two Class B misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct related to incidents in a home in the 400 block of South Mill Street in Albany. On Oct. 1, 2010, he allegedly broke open a bedroom door, yelled and hit a teenage boy and threw a chair down stairs, and on Oct. 13, 2012, he grabbed the same teen by the neck and shoulders and struggled with him. His initial appearance in court is scheduled Nov. 5.
Kelly Ott, 31, Monroe, was charged Thursday, Oct. 18, with a Class A misdemeanor charge of using another person's credit card without consent to make a series of charges totaling $875.54 at area businesses in March. Court records indicate her purchases with the card included transactions at Pizza Hut in Monroe, a floral shop in Madison, Gabriella's Italian Restaurant in Albany, and in Brodhead at China Wok, Tropical Exposure Salon and Villa Pizza. Her initial appearance in court is scheduled Nov. 12.
Grayson Kenneth Privett, 17, Monroe, was charged Thursday, Oct. 18, with a Class A misdemeanor charge of stealing two one-liter bottles of Southern Comfort liquor on Sept. 16 from the Monroe Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. His signature bond was set Oct. 22 at $750. His next court appearance is Nov. 27.
