FELONIES
Bradley David Brausen, 19, Monroe, was charged Oct. 7 with a Class H felony of misappropriating another's ID information to obtain money, as well as a misdemeanor count of credit card fraud. Brausen was charged after he used his mother's credit card to spend $2,374.65 on in-game items and currency in the smartphone video game "Clash of Clans" between April 6 and May 16 of 2014. Brausen's mother discovered the activity in May of 2014 and reported it to the police; according to a police report, officers referred the case to juvenile intake. Brausen said he had made the purchases because he simply "hadn't considered the consequences," the police report read. Brausen's initial appearance is scheduled to take place Oct. 31.
MISDEMEANORS
Ryan Michael Richardson, 32, Brodhead, was charged Sept. 28 with five misdemeanor counts of bail jumping after a string of incidents between July 18 and Aug. 15 of this year. In each incident - taking place on July 18, July 30, July 31, Aug. 4 and Aug. 15 - police were notified that Richardson was intoxicated, in violation from his bond from a July disorderly conduct case. During one of the incidents, a third party contacted police and warned that Richardson had talked about killing himself. In two of the incidents, Richardson himself contacted officers and told them to arrest him. Richardson's initial appearance is scheduled for Oct. 17.
Jackson Dean Garwell, 17, Monroe, was charged Oct. 4 with a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct after he was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute at a residence on Oct. 3 in the Town of Jordan. During the dispute, which arose after he failed to attend school, he threatened to shoot a relative's vehicle with a rifle and said he would run away if the police were called. Garwell was reportedly cooperative when police were called. A pre-trial conference will take place Nov. 15.
Dakota Christopher J. Lorenz, 23, Albany, was charged Oct. 3 with misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and two counts of bail jumping. Lorenz's charges stem from an incident on Sept. 30, when he was seen slashing the tires of a vehicle with a knife. This action violated his bonds from both an April case of criminal damage to property and a May retail theft case. A pre-trial conference will take place Dec. 20.
Aryan Rashidi, 38, Beloit, was charged Oct. 3 with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Rashidi was charged after police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Wisconsin 11, Town of Cadiz. Rashidi was found sleeping in his vehicle with a glass smoking pipe visible. When officers searched Rashidi's person, they found 2.7 grams of marijuana stuffed inside his pants. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Nov. 15.
Tristin N. Ace, 19, Monroe, was charged Oct. 7 with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer. The charges stem from an incident on Oct. 7 when Ace was reportedly physically abusive toward a relative after the latter confiscated Ace's cell phone. According to a police report, Ace struck the relative and then refused to obey the instructions of officers after they were called to arrest her. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Nov. 15.
