Davidson, 38, Brodhead, was found guilty Nov. 8 after pleading no contest to a charge of theft of between $2,500 and $5,000 in a business setting, a class I felony, stemming from a March 24 incident. Court records indicate that Davidson, as volunteer treasurer for the City of Brodhead Park and Recreation Department's Summer Youth Ball Program, kept $2,638 of the program's money in his joint checking account. Davidson's case was a deferred prosecution and sentence. The prosecution agreement stipulates he attend counseling, treatment and support groups with his wife, Mary Davidson.
