Felonies

- Michael A. Chase, 22, Monroe, was found guilty Nov. 7 of breaking the conditions of his probation. On Dec. 16, he was found guilty of substantial battery with the intent to cause bodily harm, a class I felony, stemming from a July 10, 2010 incident. Court records indicate that Chase was terminated from Attic Correctional Services at the Foster Community Center in Madison and the Rock Valley Halfway House in Janesville, and was disrespectful to the staff at the Foster Community Center. All three are violations of rules of community supervision. He was sentenced to one year and six months of state prison and one year extended supervision with the conditions of paying $1,232 in restitution.

- Chase was also found guilty Nov. 7 of breaking the conditions of his probation after being found guilty on Dec. 16 of bail jumping, a class H felony, stemming from a Nov. 17, 2010 incident. He was sentenced to one year and six months in jail to be served concurrently and one year extended supervision with the conditions of paying $106.23 in restitution.

- Ruger L. Fischer, 21, Janesville, was found guilty Nov. 9, after pleading no contest to a charge of computer message threatening to cause injury or harm, a class B misdemeanor, stemming from a Jan. 24 incident. Court records indicate that Fischer sent, with the intent to frighten, intimidate, threaten and abuse, multiple text messages to the cell phone of the victim, calling her foul names, threatening to kill her, her unborn baby and her boyfriend. He told her he had his fully automatic rifle and that he could see her looking outside the window while using the rifle scope. He was sentenced to one year probation with the conditions of undergoing treatment and counseling.

Misdemeanors

- Matthew D. Disch, 24, Monticello, was found guilty Nov. 1 after pleading no contest to a charge of bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an April 29 incident. He was fined $568.

- Randall M. Patterson, 57, Monroe, was found guilty Nov. 8 after pleading no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, stemming from a June 12 incident. Patterson's case was a deferred prosecution and sentence, where he is to follow the prosecution agreement, which includes continuing individual and family mental health counseling. He was fined $263.
