FELONIES
The court Tuesday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Dec. 16 district attorney conference for Shannon J. Wollums, 37, Brodhead, who stood mute to drunken driving, bribery and failure to obey an officer.
Court records allege he was arrested for drunken driving Sept. 11 in Brodhead and failed to slow down and pull over promptly. He later offered the officer money if he would drop the charges and throw away the blood test kit, according to court records.
Wollums is charged with drunken driving, fifth- or sixth-offense, and bribery, both class H felonies, and failure to obey a traffic officer, a class A misdemeanor, as a repeat offender. He was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2004 and 2007. He faces more than 18 years in prison and up to $30,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $2,500 signature bond.
The court Wednesday scheduled a Dec. 16 district attorney conference for Leonard R. Lee, 32, New Glarus, who pleaded not guilty to burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.
Court records allege he spray painted a woman's car Dec. 27 in New Glarus, broke into the woman's house in New Glarus and damaged furniture and plugged up a drain and turned on the water, which caused flooding in the house, and also stole clothing from the woman May 18 in New Glarus.
He is charged with burglary, a class F felony, two counts of criminal damage to property and theft, both class A misdemeanors. He faces more than 14 years in prison and up to $55,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $5000 signature bond.
The court Wednesday scheduled a Dec. 30 district attorney conference for Gerald E. Foulker, 48, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to drunken driving.
Court records allege he was arrested for drunken driving Sept. 23 in Monroe.
He is charged with drunken driving, fifth- or sixth-offense, and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration, fifth- or sixth-offense, both class H felonies. He faces up to 12 years in prison. He remains free on a $2,500 signature bond.
The court Wednesday scheduled a Dec. 2 district attorney conference for Tyler M. Denoto, who pleaded not guilty to burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.
Court records allege he entered a residence by breaking a window and took $300 in money and a necklace.
He is charged with burglary, a class F felony, and theft and criminal damage to property, both class A misdemeanors. He faces more than 13 years in prison and up to $45,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.
MISDEMEANORS
The court Wednesday entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with Thomas A. McLean, 21, Belleville, who pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct.
He faced up to three months in jail and up to $1,000 for the class B misdemeanor.
The court dismissed one count of bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor. He originally faced up to one year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines.
The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.
Court records indicate he yelled and swore at three people June 27 at a residence in Exeter township.
In a second case, the court entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with McLean after he pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana.
He faced up to six months in jail and up to $1,000 for the unclassified misdemeanor.
The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.
