Austin Joseph Ferguson, 18, Orfordville, is scheduled for a deferred prosecution agreement hearing on July 7, after appearing in court for a pretrial conference Monday. He had pleaded not guilty May 8 and had been bound over for trial. In the case filed March 17, he was charged with possession of less than 200 grams of THC with intent to sell, a Class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor, in an incident March 14. A Class I felony carries a fine not to exceed $10,000 or imprisonment not to exceed three years and six months, or both. An unclassified misdemeanor carries a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment not to exceed 30 days, or both.
Troy Justin Gordee, 32, Browntown, made his initial appearance in Green County Circuit Court Tuesday in a case filed June 17, surrounding an April 9 incident. He was released on a $1,500 signature bond. He is charged with a Class E felony of burglary armed with a weapon; a class G felony of theft of property worth more than $10,000; a Class H felony of theft with special facts; and a Class G felony possession of a firearm. For conviction of a Class E felony, a fine is not to exceed $50,000 or imprisonment not to exceed 15 years, or both. For a Class G felony, a fine is not to exceed $25,000 or imprisonment not to exceed 10 years, or both. For a Class H felony, a fine is not to exceed $10,000 or imprisonment not to exceed six years, or both. A preliminary hearing is set for June 26.
