Felonies
- Jillian Ann Gowen, 26, imprisoned at Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and two years of extended supervision for revoking her probation on a felony conviction of burglary. Her probation agent indicates in a report that Gowen has a history of heroin use and is suspected of using drugs and altering a urine analysis while in a residential drug program in Madison, that she committed a new offense by helping to smuggle cigarettes and a lighter into the Green County Jail and, while out on a pass from her program in Madison, she "asked a drug dealer what kind of drugs he could get her."
- Billy Jack Ransom, 33, Beloit, pleaded no contest July 17 and was sentenced to two years of probation on a Class H felony charge of forgery. He is convicted of cashing a forged payroll check in the amount of $413.52 at M&J's Bar, 1117 W. 2nd Ave., Brodhead, in June 2012. Conditions of his probation include undergoing treatment for alcohol/drug abuse and not drinking.
- Miguel Angel Langarica, 41, Freeport, was charged July 19 with felony bail jumping, stemming from allegations that he showed up at a residence in the 1100 block of 16th Street in Monroe at 1:26 a.m. the same day, was intoxicated and looking for a woman he is under court order not to contact. Drinking is a violation of his bond condition on another case. His signature bond is set at $2,000 with the conditions that he not drink or drive without a valid license. His preliminary hearing is July 30.

- Javian Qu Ran Adams, 17, Freeport, was charged July 18 with a Class A misdemeanor count of theft, stemming from allegations that he stole a purple leather purse out of a shopping cart in the parking lot of the Monroe Walmart on July 1. The purse contained a wallet with $410 cash, social security cards, a Walmart money card, receipts, a bank book, pens and memorial cards with sentimental value. His initial appearance is July 22.
- Samantha E. Murray, 33, Brodhead, was charged July 19 with unclassified misdemeanor counts of possessing five grams of marijuana and a one-hitter pipe the previous day during a traffic stop in Brodhead on 10th Street near East 2nd Avenue. She was originally stopped for driving with a revoked license (fifth offense). Her signature bond is set at $500. She has a pre-trial conference Sept. 3.

- Deloss Joseph Hilby, 32, Benton, was charged July 18 with a Class I felony count of child abuse, recklessly causing harm, and a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident July 9 on 3rd Avenue in Benton and on July 10 at his residence in the 300 block of 2nd Street in Benton. He allegedly caused bodily harm to a 12-year-old child. His initial appearance is July 22.

- Shawn M. Benson, 38, Darlington, pleaded guilty July 10 to six misdemeanor charges of violating a harassment restraining order by making repeated phone calls to a woman. He was granted an 18-month deferred prosecution, with the conditions that he pay the court $243, avoid the victim and keep his phone calls to her to one daily and only regarding custody of their child.
- Joey Alan Leu, 48, Monticello, pleaded no contest July 10 to a charge of disorderly conduct that was reduced from a misdemeanor to a forfeiture. He owes the court $25. The conviction stems from a dispute with his father at his father's home on Mill Street in Argyle on April 23. His father faced a similar disorderly conduct charge stemming from the dispute, and similarly pleaded no contest to a reduced charge and paid the court $393.50.
- Tracey Mildred Zsido, 41, Argyle, was charged July 1 with two unclassified misdemeanor counts of violating a harassment restraining order, stemming from incidents June 27 and 28 at the Lafayette County Jail, 138 W. Catherine St. She allegedly made a phone call to her father from the jail, in violation of a no-contact order, and repeatedly asked jail staff to contact him for her. Her arraignment is July 22.
