MONROE - Gail R. Myers, Jr., 45, Monroe, was found guilty on June 29, after pleading no contest to a charge of operating while intoxicated, fourth offense in five years, a class H felony, stemming from a Feb. 5, 2011 incident. He was sentenced to six months in jail, drivers license revocation, and was fined $1,449. - John D. Barrett, 25, Belleville, was found guilty on June 22, after pleading no contest to a charge of possessing amphetamine, an unclassified misdemeanor, stemming from a Feb. 18, 2011 incident. He was fined $243. Court records indicate that Barrett possessed three Adderall pills without a prescription. The pills were found in an unlabeled pill bottle n the glove box of the vehicle in which he was the passenger.
- Jeremy P. Posey, 30, Beloit, was found guilty June 30, after pleading no contest to two counts of fourth degree sexual assault, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from an October 6, 2009 incident. He was sentenced to eight months in jail, with work release upon successful completion of jail; and probation, which is to be concurrent with any other crimes. He was also fined $274. Court reports indicate that Posey forced two different victims, at separate times, to have intercourse with him, at a residence in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue, Brodhead.
Posey was also found guilty of bail jumping, a class H felony, following a Nov. 19, 2009 incident. He was sentenced to three years of probation and fined $112. Reports indicate that Posey violated the terms of his $3,000 signature bond, which he was to remove one of his alleged victims from his Facebook account, but instead kept the victim's contact information on his account.
