Green County
Felonies
Carlos Aguirre Rivera, 40, Monroe, was sentenced June 20 to three years in prison, three years of extended supervision and nine months in jail, after being convicted at a jury trial last March on four counts of felony bail jumping and four misdemeanor counts of violating a domestic abuse injunction. Court records indicate he repeatedly contacted a woman in 2009 in violation of a no-contact order and tried to break into her home, then lied to an officer about it.
Derek J. Myhand, 30, Monroe, was charged June 27 with a Class I felony charge of theft in a business setting, on allegations that he misused money he received last summer for a roofing project contracted through his business DTK Builders, LLC. He allegedly kept about $4,700 out of a customer's $8,700 bill "for purposes other than the roofing project." His initial appearance is July 22.
Misdemeanors
Sara M. Lawrence, 21, jailed in Monroe, was sentenced June 27 to nine months in jail for revoking her probation on misdemeanor convictions of retail theft and bail jumping. A report from her probation agent indicates she failed to contact her alcohol/drug counselor and social worker as promised, failed to report for parenting classes, lied to the agent about her pregnancy and damaged a television belonging to a live-in boyfriend by dropping it on the ground. The agent notes Lawrence has alcohol and drug dependencies and an "inability to maintain a non-criminal lifestyle."
Anastasia Marie Davis, 20, Monroe, was granted a one-year deferred prosecution June 27 on a Class A misdemeanor charge of battery, stemming from an allegation that she slapped her child's father "hard" on May 7 in a Monroe apartment. Conditions of her deferred prosecution agreement stipulate that she continue anger management and coping mechanism counseling through the Dane County Parenting Council.
Ryan Clarence Paschal, 51, Janesville, was charged June 27 with misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer, stemming from an incident Jan. 4 at a residence in the 2200 block of 10th Street in Monroe. Court records indicate he yelled and swore at two people, slammed his fist on the kitchen table and resisted being handcuffed. He reportedly blew a breathalyzer test showing a 0.27 blood-alcohol content and was taken to detox. His initial appearance is July 22.
