Misdemeanors
- Joshua A. Jacobson, 19, Fond du Lac, pleaded no contest on Friday, Feb. 3, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of retail theft and was fined $372. Court records indicate he stole a silver necklace and charm in November 2009 from a store in the 400 block of West 8th St., Monroe.
- Fredrick Dylan Veeder, 37, Albany, pleaded no contest on Friday, Feb. 3, to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property and was sentenced to 15 days in jail and fined $486. Additional charges of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer were dismissed. The charges stem from a Dec. 3 incident in Albany. Court records indicate Veeder was intoxicated and violently resisted when police arrested him for damaging a vehicle with a brick in the 100 block of Water Street. According to the criminal complaint, he also resisted medical attention at a nearby hospital and spit in the face of a nurse.
- Robert Lee Prinkey, Jr., 39, Brodhead, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 7 to 10 days in jail and fined $622 for a Class A misdemeanor charge of bail jumping, stemming from a Dec. 20 arrest, and a Class B disorderly conduct charge, stemming from a Nov. 11 incident. He was ordered to pay his fine at a rate of $30 per month, with the agreement that he spend one day in jail for every $30 that remains unpaid. A charge of battery and additional charges of battery and bail jumping were dismissed.
- Brianne Patricia Porter, 29, Janesville, pleaded no contest and was granted a one-year deferred prosecution on Wednesday, Feb. 15, for misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct. Court records indicate she violently slapped and hit a male victim on July 16 in a car on Wisconsin 11 while an officer was investigating a report of domestic abuse at the Sweet Minihaha Campground. She also was fined $100.
