• The court Tuesday sentenced Zahmall Z. David, 23, Madison, to 18 months in prison and 18 months probation after he pleaded no contest to strangulation and suffocation charges.
He faced up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class H felony.
The court dismissed one count of battery, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He originally faced up to seven years in prison and up to $21,000 in fines.
Court records indicate he grabbed a woman by the throat and squeezed, causing her to have trouble breathing Sept. 20 in Exeter township.
• The court Thursday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a March 3 district attorney conference for Tyler P. McCabe, 20, Monroe, who stood mute to a drug charge.
Court records allege he delivered about 7 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer March 28 in Monroe.
He is charged with manufacture/deliver cocaine, a class E felony. He faces up to 15 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
• The court Thursday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a March 19 plea/sentencing hearing for Brian K. Adams, 48, Monroe, who stood mute to drug charges.
Court records allege he had 26 grams of marijuana in a bag and a scale and a box of sandwich bags in his possession Jan. 28 near the Senior Citizens Park in Monroe. He was convicted of manufacture/delivery of cocaine in 2003.
He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver near a park as a repeat offender, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. He faces more than 12 years in prison and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on $7,500 cash bond.

Court records allege he used another person's bank debit card to make purchases Aug. 14 in Jefferson township.
He is charged with identity theft, a class H felony. He faces up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $2,000 signature bond.

He is charged with entry into a locked building, trespassing and criminal damage to property, as a repeat offender, all class A misdemeanors. He was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2003 and second-offense drunken driving in 2007. He faces more than six years in jail and up to $30,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $1,500 signature bond.
In a second case, the court scheduled a March 31 district attorney conference for Brewer after he pleaded not guilty to bail jumping.
