Green County Felonies

• The court Wednesday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Sept. 30 district attorney conference for Ryan C. Paschal, 47, Monroe, who stood mute to attempted battery of a police officer, obstructing an officer and resisting an officer.

Court records allege he tried to hit a police officer, ran from police and struggled when taken into custody July 22 in Monroe. He was convicted of fifth-offense drunken driving in 2004.

He is charged with attempted battery of a police officer, a class H felony, obstructing an officer and resisting an officer, both class A misdemeanors, as a repeat offender. He faces more than 14 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $2,500 signature bond.

• The court Thursday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Sept. 5 district attorney conference for Stephen A. Seffrood, 36, Freeport, who stood mute to two counts of bail jumping.

Court records allege he failed to make appearances for two counts of failure to pay child support Dec. 4 at the Green county Courthouse.

He is charged with two counts of bail jumping, both class H felonies. He faces up to 12 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $4,000 signature bond.
